What to Expect
QEEG

Prior to the in-take appointment we ask that you fill out a Personal History Form and a Symptom Survey. At the in-take appointment client and therapist review symptoms and goals. Usually an EEG recording is made, in order to see to what degree the symptoms are reflected in the pattern of brain waves. Based on this recording, the therapist can identify certain frequency bands as areas needing improvement, and judge to what degree the symptoms may be resolved using neurofeedback training.

Neurotherapy training is a painless, non-invasive procedure. One or more sensors are placed on the scalp and one on the ear. The brain waves are monitored by means of an amplifer and a computer bases instrument that processes the signal and provides the proper feedback. You will be asked to sit in front of a computer monitor and make the video game or movie go, with your brain. Gradually, the brain responds to the cues that it is being given, and 'learning' of new brain wave patterns takes place.

Training sessions last between 45 minutes to an hour, and are conducted from one to five times per week. A new assessment is performed every 20 sessions to determine progress and whether or not additional sessions are required.

If you are coming from a long distance such as Europe or other parts of the US, many of our clients prefer the TFT Program...

Targeted Frequency Training (TFT)

An intensive program which occurs over a (minimum) two week period:
- sessions are Monday through Friday
- each session is approximately forty-five minutes long
- one session in the morning and one in the afternoon
- the client wears a full 19 channel EEG Electro Cap several times over the course of the treatment. Most people traveling from a long distance opt for our TFT program.
